Engine 5 is a 2005 Ferrara Custom Pumper. It has a 1500gpm pump and a 1000 gallon tank. In addition to firefighting Engine 5 carries a full compliment of Amkus extrication tools, air bags, and Rescue Jacks. This engine can seat 6 firefighters and has 3 SCBA seats. The truck was placed into service April of 2006. This truck was a demonstrator vehicle from Ferrara and actually served in New Orleans following the Katrina disaster. Engine 5 is dedicated to Thomas Marston, a long time member of the department. Engine 5 is the primary engine to respond out of Station #1 and responds first to all fire responses and motor vehicle crashes.

Rescue 6 is a 1998 International / Pierce Rescue. This truck responds out of station 1 to all rescue assignments. It is a part of the Litchfield County Task Force enabling it to respond to mass-casualty incidents around the country. This truck seats 5 firefighters with 4 SCBA seats. Rescue 6 carries a full compliment of swift water rescue and hazardous material spill equipment.

Brush 2 is a 2000 F-350 Pickup with a 150 gallon tank on a skid plate. Brush two contains an array of forest fire equipment including forestry hose, hand tools, indian packs, and a chainsaw. During the winter months this truck is used to clear snow from the firehouse. Brush 2 is dedicated to John "Jack" Hoffman, a long time member of New Hartford Fire Department. Brush 2 responds out of station 1.

Tanker 10 is a 2004 Kenworth / 4-Guys tanker. It is our primary water supply vehicle and also responds to neighboring towns as needed. Tanker 10 is housed inside station 2. Tanker 10 has a 1900 gallon tank and a 500 gpm pump. The tank can be emptied by any of 3 remote operated dump valves. Controls to the dumps are located inside the cab for quick operation by the driver.

Engine 7 is a 2006 Ferrara Ignitor Pumper. It is the primary engine out of Station 2. Engine 7 has a 1000 gallon tank with a 1500 gpm pump. Engine 7 seats 6 firefighters with 5 scba seats. This truck also responds to all RIT assignments in the area. Engine 7 also carries equipment for cold water rescue, vehicle rescue, fire suppression, and CO calls.

Marine 1 is the Department Boat. It was aquired in 2002 and has a 35hp jet engine. This boat responds to all river rescue incidents on the Farmington River as well as water rescue incidents at West Hill Lake. Marine 1 can be towed by Rescue 6 or Brush 2.
Light Tower: New Hartford Fire Department houses a light tower trailer inside station 1. It can be pulled by Brush 2 or Rescue 6 and is used to provide a self contained lighting source during night time operations.
Special Operations Trailer: New Hartford Fire Department houses a special operations trailer inside station 1. It can be pulled by Brush 2 or Rescue 6 and is used to provide supplemental equipment for swift water and hazardous materials incidents.
Retired Apparatus

Engine 5 (1978-2005): Engine 5 served the Town of New Hartford from 1978 until 2006. It is a 1978 Oren/International Pumper. It holds 750 gallons of water and has a 1250 gallon pump. This engine was refurbished in 1994 and served as the departments water supply pumper from that point on. This engine was known for its reliability and its pumping power. This truck was also nicknamed the Dino after its driver, Thomas Marston. This truck was sold to a fire department in the mid-west and continues to serve.

Engine 1 (1991-2005): Engine 1 served the Town of New Hartford from 1991 until 2005. Engine 5 was a 1991 Spartan/Boardman Pumper and was built by the Gowans and Knight Company of Watertown, CT. Engine 1 had a 1000 gallon tank and a 1250 GPM pump. Engine 1 was the primary unit out of station 2 while it was in service.

Engine 3 (1987-2009): Engine 3 was a 1987 FMC/Spartan custom pumper. This engine served as the departments main attack piece out of station 1 until the delivery of Engine 5. Engine 3 was sold to a company in Wisconsin.
